These tests are performed in state-of-the art micro-processed equipment,
using 3, 10 or 60 interchangeable tons, allowing for high flexibility
in sizes of test specimen.
The electronic extensometer
(photo below) is used in order to provide higher precision in determining
the drainage limit. The graph below shows the tensile from deformation
of the material under test. |

BEND,
EXPANSION, FLATTENING TESTINGS
|
| In
this equipment bend testing is carried out, especially those used
to qualify welding and welder procedures. Flattening and expansion
of tubes are performed in special devices. |

HARDNESS
AND MICROHARDNESS TESTING |
| Regular,
superficial and Brinell hardness tests of up to 3,000 kgf are performed
in Reicherter, Wilson and WPM equipment.

| In
order to carry out micro hardness tests, a Bruheler electronic microhardness
meter is used with loads of 10 gf to 1kgf. For Vickers microhardness,
especially in temperate layers. |

tests according to ASTM and DIN Standards may be performed under
room temperature as low as -196 ºC. In order to do so, Labmat
has two flywheels, one IGV flywheel for 300 Joules and one Losenhausenwerk
flywheel for 750 Joules. |
