In December 1998, Labmat Análises e Ensaios de Materiais was founded with the purpose of providing support to companies by performing chemical, metallographic and mechanical analyses to tighten the quality control of its products.

After five years of activity, in the year of 2003, a new company was founded called Labmat Service "Tecnologia em Soldagem, Engenharia e Inspeções" (“Technology in Welding, Engineering and Inspections”) to meet the needs of Labmat’s customers and also of the market in the areas of welding, industrial inspection and non-destructive testing. This company has a strong presence in a number of industry sectors, such as petrochemical, pulp and paper, boiler shops, foundries, sugar and alcohol, health, naval and construction and also in qualification and recycling of professionals in welding and non-destructive testing.

This is how Labmat Group was established: Labmat Análises e Ensaios de Materiais and Labmat Service promoting full impartiality within these companies, working under the precepts of ethics and avoiding conflicts of interest.
